Celebrating Older Women: with Photography: Challenging Stereotypes

Are you a woman over 60?

 Do you enjoy taking photographs?

The Blue Mountains Women’s Health and Resource Centre is holding a photographic exhibition in February and it wants photographs of women over 60 that have been taken by women over 60.  “There are many negative stereotypes of what it means to be an older woman including the fact that we  are all sick, frail, isolated and poor. However this is not the case for many, many women and what we want to present  are women positively engaged in life, doing interesting things and generally having a good time,” said Lyn Pagan from the BMWHRC. “There are many women out there who are keen photographers and this is a great opportunity to do something that is fun and creative. ”

Women who are interested need to contact the Centre on 47825133 or email lyn@bmwhrc.org to find out about conditions of entry or download an entry form via this link Celebrating Older Women with Photography conditions and entry form
