Groups & Activities

The Centre runs ongoing and short-term groups, including:

  • therapeutic and support groups
  • health information and education groups
  • peer-led self-advocacy/self-help groups
  • social and/or physical activity groups

Groups may be aimed at all women in the community, or specific groups, including:

  • young women
  • older women
  • women from a non English speaking background
  • women experiencing emotional ill health
  • women with a disability
  • Aboriginal women

Some groups are run at the Centre, while others are held at outreach locations in the Blue Mountains. We often run groups in conjunction with other community organisations. We welcome your ideas for group topics. If you can’t find the group for you, we might be able to refer you to another service.
