Free Young Women’s Drop-In Clinic

3.30-5.30 Thursdays during school term

This is a free service for young women aged 25 years and under

We can assist you with:

  • Pap tests
  • Breast examinations
  • Pregnancy testing
  • STI (sexually transmitted infections) testing and safe sex education
  • HIV testing
  • Contraception
  • Information about sexuality issues
  • Termination or pregnancy advice and referrals
  • Women’s health issues
  • Referrals to other services
  • We sell the Morning After Pill (Consultation with a doctor or nurse is required) and pregnancy testing kits

You can also access free drop-in counselling and join the Young Women’s Artspace.

Your Rights

As a young woman, regardless of your sex, religion, colour, age, ability, beliefs, or sexual lifestyle, you have the right:

  • To be yourself
  • To know about sex, STIs and contraception
  • To protect yourself from unplanned pregnancy, STIs and sexual abuse
  • To have health care which is confidential, affordable, of good quality and given with due respect
  • To be involved in your own health care

Your Privacy

The Centre values your privacy and has strong protocols in place to keep your information private.

Confidentiality is an important part of the service – you need to know that any information you give us about your health is safe. Your practitioner will explain our confidentiality policy in more detail.

If you have any concerns about your privacy or any other part of the service, please speak to your practitioner.
