Gathering for First Nations Women

Service Description

Join Gateway Family Services and BMWHRC for a dedicated gathering for First Nations women and girls in celebration of Women’s Health Week. Arrive at 10am for Welcome to Country, followed by a performance from the Wagana Dancers. Stay for a beautiful day of connection, culture and community, with yarning, dance, art, weaving, Wayapa Wuurrk and cooking with native ingredients, as well as a performance by the Women’s Reflections Choir. Throughout the day, enjoy drop-in activities, yarns by the fire, a children’s play space and opportunities to connect with local women’s health services. Lunch is provided, and we’ll finish the day at 3pm with a cuppa and reflective yarn. Come for the day, share stories, learn, create and connect.
