Service Description

What is the Neuro Divergent Peer Support Group? This is a peer-led group for Neuro Divergent women, trans, and non-binary folks. We meet in a safe and welcoming space at the Women’s Health & Resource Centre. What to Expect When I Come to Group: - A calm, respectful space where people are kind and non-judgmental. - You will be welcomed just as you are no need to mask or perform. - At your first session, you'll be invited to help create a group agreement. Everyone is expected to follow this agreement so that the space feels safe and comfortable for all. - You can choose to talk or just listen, this is not a formal therapeutic group just a place to connect. - You can come late, leave early, or take breaks because everyone's needs are different. What Do We Do in Group? - Talk about experiences and share ideas or strategies. - Enjoy some morning-tea. - Exchange resources and support each other. - Help shape the group, your voice matters. You can help decide what topics or activities we explore. Sometimes we do gentle activities like art, journaling or playing with fidgets, these are always optional. Who Runs the Group? - This group is peer-led, which means it's run by and for Neuro Divergent people. Centre staff are there to support the group, but not to facilitate it. Who Can Come? This group is for: - Neuro Divergent women - Neuro Divergent trans people - Neuro Divergent non-binary people What Else Should I Know? - You can email or call ahead if you have questions or want to check in before attending. - The group happens inside the Women's Health Centre which is not a space designed for cis-men and you may see information about sexual & reproductive health, mental health & gendered violence. - You don’t need a formal diagnosis to attend this group (we understand there are barriers), you just a sense that this space might be for you.
